Salam my fellow muslims! As today in Nice, France, I skipped proper breakfast and bought macaroons instead. As most of you people know, macaroons are very expensive in Asia country, even you manage to get the cheap price but the taste would not be as good as you bought in the high end shops.

Macaroons origin came from Italy and France, therefore, you can easily find macaroons in cafes street with good price. Want to know what does macaroons made of?

Macaroons main ingredients are:
Egg white
Icing sugar
Granulated sugar
Almond powder
Ground almond
Flavourings

Filings are usually made from ganache (chocolate and cream) and sometimes ganache are blended with LIQUEURS or extract! Also available in other feelings such as jam and buttercream.

But no need to worry!
You can still ask at the counter if the flavour that you desire contains alcohol or not.
'ne contient pas dalcool'-that contain no alcohol? In a very simple way to say it in french.

They will explain to you, I only got mine in strawberry, lemon and coffee but I didn't get my favourite flavour, chocolat(in french), as she do not explain for the chocolate one so I didn't ask and assumed maybe it does contain liquor, but maybe some of you can ask?

I bought double café with 5 pieces of macaroons just for €7 in Le Maxi cafe(same cafe I went for breakfast pain au chocolate yesterday).
